2017 SEASON
You know what lodging people do in May? They talk. They talk a lot about signs and indications of what the upcoming season is going to be like. By most accounts, 2017 looks very promising to be a banner year. The Bar Harbor/Acadia area is coming off the Acadia Centennial that many thought would the peak season ever. Not necessarily. Expectations appear to be that lots of visitors from last year are returning and the regulars that took last year off, worrying about crowds, are coming back. Acadia got so much press, that doesn't wear off in one year. The Centennial celebration is going to benefit the tourism business for years to come. We are also hearing great things out of the Boothbay Harbor area with early increases in advance deposits and lots of excitement in the area. Moral of the story? It appears that 2017 is going to be a strong year for room revenue and sales. Banks are being very encouraging to buyers, we have exceptional property listings and more and more - the Maine lifestyle is extremely enticing. What are you waiting for?
